SUNRISE SENIOR LIVING HOLIDAY SING:

Monday Night, the 12th, all instrumentalists who want to play for the Sunrise Senior Living Holiday Party meet at the church at 7 pm for practice. Mr. Zackrison will have music for you.

Monday the 19th, we will visit Sunrise Senior Living Community and make a joyful noise for the holiday season. Instrumentalists should arrive at the church at 7 pm for a warmup and final practice. We will walk over as a troop at 7:30, sing and return and then prepare the luminarias as mentioned above. We will conclude with a Holiday party. Scouts should bring a flashlight to use during the walk to Sunrise.

LUMINARIOS: Attached is a flyer for luminarios for both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. This is a service project we do for our sponsoring organization. As in years past, we will prepare the luminarias on Monday night, the 19th after we return from the Sunrise Senior Living Home and before we have our Holiday party and we will put the prepared ones on the stage.

We will have 2 shifts for Christmas Eve, beginning at 4:15 to set out luminarias, light them, and keep them going. The second shift begins at 7 pm. We need adults to supervise for Christmas Eve.

ONLY FALLS CHURCH CITY SCHOOLS ARE NOT IN SESSION FRIDAY, SO ALL ARE NEEDED FOR THIS IMPORTANT PROJECT AND STATEMENT TO OUR NATION

Scouting For Food Bag Pickup

The second and final phase of Scouting for Food is this Saturday at 9 a.m. at FCPC. We need all available scouts to help make this work smoothly.  All volunteers should meet at the church at  9 a.m. and we will split up into “food collection” teams and head out from there. Once again, we need at least 8 adult volunteers to drive the scouts to collect the food.  Please confirm with Owen Sullivan (owen.j.sullivan@accenture.com) if you are able to help.

Please note there is a change in the process from past years due to a request from the food pantry.  They no longer need the scouts help stocking their shelves but they have asked that we sort and weigh the food off-site.  Therefore, we have teamed up with Pack 657 and will be sorting and weighing both the pack and troop collections at FCPC.  We will then consolidate the food and drop it off at the food pantry in a couple of pick-up trucks that we have secured.

There will be a designated food drop off area setup at the church with the bins and scales.  Please only drive into the drop off area if your are unloading food.  Otherwise we ask that you park in a separate area of the parking lot.

We are asking as many scouts as possible to come out Saturday as we need scouts out in the neighborhoods collecting the food and then others at the church sorting and weighing.  Look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.  If you have any questions please contact Owen Sullivan (contact info below).
