Return to Church for pick up Sunday February 26th 11:30 am
Bring Layers, sweaters, extra socks, etc. Also other items that might be discussed or suggested at Monday’s Meeting.
We will camp outside one night on Saturday and will return Sunday Morning.

2012 Summer Camp
It is time to start thinking about scout summer camps again. Troop 895 has reserved space at Camp Brady Saunders in Goochland, VA. We have reserved space for 2 different weeks July 1-7, and July 23-29. It is time to get dates on your calendars and for the Troop to start making plans for its annual summer camp adventure. Scout spaces will be allocated in the order in which applications to attend and payments are received.
Camp Brady T. Saunders in Heart of Virginia Council. Weeks 2 and 5, July 1-7 and 22-29.
Note that the 22nd is Sunday. The camp this week has a lot of campers coming on Monday, July 23, but in fact will be open with program on Sunday the 22nd.

2012 Ski Trip
Troop 895 Annual Ski Trip
Ski Liberty in Carroll Valley, PA (http://www.libertymountainresort.com)
Original date: Saturday, January 21, 2012 - Postponed till February 4th
The Objective: Have fun learning to ski/snowboard or improving skills. Lessons are included in cost. Mr. Drawbaugh will be teaching the Snow Sports Merit Badge to any interested Scouts.
The Plan: Our ski trip this year will be to Liberty Mountain in Pennsylvania. We’ll go by chartered bus from Falls Church Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Jan 21, at 6:30 am (meet at 6:15 am!!), ski for the day and return home that night at 7:00 pm.
One important thing that Ski Liberty is requiring is that all of their forms must have an “ink” signature – no copies or electronic signatures allowed.

Luminarios 2011
Attached is a flyer for luminarios for both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. This is a service project we do for our sponsoring organization. As in years past, we will prepare the luminarias on Monday night, the 19th after we return from the Sunrise Senior Living Home and before we have our Holiday party and we will put the prepared ones on the stage.
We will have 2 shifts for Christmas Eve, beginning at 4:15 to set out luminarias, light them, and keep them going. The second shift begins at 7 pm. We need adults to supervise for Christmas Eve. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
